Swine Flu In Mexico City is reaching epidemic proportions.Their have been thousands of swine flu cases in Mexico and Mexico Health Secretary Jose Angel Cordova said there are thousands more to come along with multiple cases of swine flu deaths are rising before it will be contained.
Swine Flu in Mexico City has caused the closure of Mexico City schools, government buildings, public institutions and museums. Mexican citizens are being encouraged to were surgical masks to contain the spread of the Mexican swine flu.
The first death of Mexican Swine Flu was confirmed as a female Mexican government worker on April 13 2009. Some are speculating that the first case of swine flu death was a 4 year old Mexican male. The young Hispanic male lived in Veracuz, Mexico. Veracruz, Mexico is an area that local communities have complained for some time regarding pollution related to pig farms in the area.
Swine Flu in Mexico City is becoming somewhat disturbing, Mexico City officials have been considering shutting down all public transportation if the swine flu death toll continues to rise. Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard has instituted a policy of wearing surgical masks on all public transportation also.
Citizens of Mexico City are leaving the city and heading out to the pacific beach towns to escape the Mexico City Pandemic. Local resort towns such as Cancun, Tijuana, and Acapulco are worried that tourists from Mexico City are spreading the swine flu virus into night clubs and bars. Most tourist attractions are being closed for safety.
Mexico City officials are telling its citizens to stay home if they have any symptoms of the swine flu virus. Symptoms of Swine Flu Virus may include:
