CDC SWINE FLU SYMPTOMS

Dr. Bresee discusses the symptoms of swine flu and what to do about them. According to the CDC, Swine Flu Symptoms include:
- Fever
- Cough
- Sore Throat
- Body Aches
- Headaches
- Chills
- Fatigue
- Diarrhea and Vomiting have been reported in some cases of Swine Flu
- Severe Illnesses
- Pneumonia
- Respiratory Failure
- Death
The CDC also expresses that if children develop Swine Flu Symptoms, you should seek Emergency Care as soon as possible. These symptoms are:
- Rapid Breathing
- Trouble Breathing
- Bluish Skin Color
- No Drinking Enough Fluids
- Not Waking Up or Not Interacting
- So Irritable The Child Does Not Want To Be Held
- Fever With A Rash
- Flu-like Symptoms that Improve But Return with Worse Symptoms and A Cough
Symptoms of Swine Flu in adults that require immediate emergency care include:
- Difficulty Breathing
- Shortness of Breath
- Chest Pressure
- Stomach Pain
- Dizziness
- Confusion
- Severe or Persistent Vomiting
Adults who are infected with Swine Flu can be extremely contagious and can remain that way for up to 7 days from the start of Swine Flu Symptoms. Children can be sickened and remain contagious for longer than 7 days.
